Backgound
I have over twenty years process related experience in large multinational corporations, including those in IT Services, Construction and Manufacturing, working for such companies as Digital Equipment, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard and Lendlease. I have facilitated the analysis, design, improvement and management of business processes and systems across departments and complete organisations.
Before moving into the world of IT service, I worked on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in the oil and gas industry and the nuclear research industry, the latter being at CERN in Switzerland.
Having spent a considerable proportion of my working life in large corporations, I realised that smaller organisations might also need assistance with their processes. When you are a small to medium business, it can be difficult to find the time or the in-house expertise to cast a critical eye over your operations, in order to see what might be improved or what is missing.
So I started "Simply Process" to reach both large and small to medium organisations. This web site is the practical realisation of that goal in that it covers some of the most common aspects of process found within an organisation and illustrates some of the various methods that can be used to make changes and improvements.
Although I have now retired and closed the business, I have left this site running in order to provide those people, who are unfamiliar with the general concepts of process improvement, some useful insights as to what is involved.
